Bálint Érdi was born on March 30, 1945, in Esztergom, Hungary, and graduated in mathematics, physics, and astronomy teaching at Eötvös Loránd University in 1968. He joined the university’s Department of Astronomy the same year and served as its head from 1998 to 2009. An expert in celestial mechanics, his research spans traditional and modern methods, particularly the dynamics of Trojan asteroids. He has supervised numerous academic works, published extensively, and received international recognition, including having the asteroid (241363) Erdibalint named in his honor.
We are organizing an international scientific conference titled The Art of the Invisible Force: the Dynamics of Equilibria Near and Far (Scientific Conference in Honor of Bálint Érdi)" to celebrate Professor Bálint Érdi's 80th birthday. Professor Emeritus Bálint Érdi was born on March 30, 1945, in Esztergom, Hungary. He graduated from Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) and worked at the university's Department of Astronomy. His field of expertise, celestial mechanics, has made him a prominent figure internationally. His research has focused on studying Trojan asteroids in the Solar System. Over the course of his career, he collaborated with numerous international institutions and researchers, contributing significantly to advancements in both astronomy and celestial mechanics. His work has been impactful not only within the scientific community but also in shaping future generations as a dedicated university professor. The confrence fee includes attendance at all conference lectures, conference materials, refreshments during caffee breaks and admission to exclusive guided tour of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences' art gallery and headquarters. All conference fees include a 27% VAT.
Payment of the registration fee: The fee must be paid via bank transfer to the IBAN account number provided on the electronic invoice, which will be issued following registration. The invoice will be sent to the email address specified during the registration process.
Cancellation conditions: For cancellations after 1st May 2025 we will charge you 30% of the registration fee. For cancellations after 15th May 2025, we will charge 50% of the registration fee, and after 30th May 2025, we will charge the entire registration fee.
